A few kilometers away from Angoulême, on the river banks of the Charente, this old wheat mill is a reconstruction of a 17th century paper mill. The museum relates the history of hand-crafted paper from the origine.

14th century paper mill. The paper industry is a tradition in Auvergne. The house of the paper maker can also be visited. "Pur chiffon" paper is still produced in this mill for publishing companies and graphic art, and paper containing wild flowers.
